I read several threads about the sunroof drain hoses so I decided to check mine . I removed everything necessary to pull the front of the headliner down . I found the headliner is fastened to the roof with velcro fasteners . All the velcro fasteners that were glued to the headliner pulled loose from the headliner & stayed fastened to the velcro that is glued to the roof . I glued them all back in place on the headliner with super glue .
All 4 of the sunroof drain hoses were in place & connected as they should be . I also found a small open tube on each side of the front corners of the sunroof . They seemed to come from the front center area of the sunroof , around the front corners of the sunroof & stopped with the end open . Anyone ever seen these tube / hoses & know what they're for ? I repeat , they are not the drain hoses that connect to all 4 corners of the sunroof . |

The sunroof motor pulls /pushes on a cable on each side of the sunroof frame to operate the glass position. When the cables move passed the motor the tubes house the end of the cables

Ok, yea i never looked whats under the headliner but i had to take the covers off on the sides of the windshield so i could pull the line from the finder an was careful not to pull them out the top, i wrote a thread on how i got mine unclogged cuz they sometimes get clogged often depending where you live, i do know that all 4 go into these angled 3" drain tubs like you can easily see in the truck ( the pieces that stay in the frame that the drains to goes to, an can easily pull those out the back) i know the front has them to witch makes it kinda impossible to unclog them by stick line through the tube an cant really get to front ones

I did this on the back ones & am going to do the front . A couple people said if you remove the front wheel & the plastic splash shield to the rear of the inner fender the front hoses are easily accessible to snip the ends . Sounds a lot easier than doing it from inside the car . I just replaced the transmission & had those splash shields removed & they are held in place with plastic pins that are easy to remove & replace . Wish I had read about snipping those ends while I had it apart . |

Yea those slits in my boots were like fused together from heat an dont know how water even got threw it lol, i pushed a pencil threw mine so it widened the slits... the ones in the front yea you can take off the splash gaurd an look in there an see the very tip of the boot slit, but i pulled my hoses out of those to unclog the tubs an when i put them back down the area it came from im not sure if they even went back in the boot ( it shouldnt hurt anything if they didnt cuz its still running out side the car an shouldnt be draining on anything important)
