Dizzy **sunroof leak not!!! Drain tubes**

Hello,

I have had my sunroof out for an overhaul and to fix the leak issues. Everything is back in and there seems to be water coming in when it rains around the motor itself. It looks like it is coming in where the cog wheel is and will run down and drip off the bottom support bolt. This will drip into the cup holder. Has anyone ever heard of this? I have searched the forums for hours and the only thing people talk about is the drains. I have had the sunroof open and poured a copious amount of water in the channels, the drains work very well. Any suggestions?

The sunroof has a metal edges where the seal attaches. Sometimes they get rusty and will not seal well. But I would think it should still get caught in the drip tray. Going from memory here, could it be getting past where the bolts attach to the motor. You might have to have the headliner off to see where its leaking.

Thanks for the reply, I have the headliner out. I have been driving it without to find this leak, (I had it re upholstered). I just pulled a rust free glass with a good seal around it from the junk yard and put it in. I was wondering why the drip tray wouldn't catch it either. It is leaking from the motor, like I said in the op, It looks like it is coming in where the cog wheel is and will run down and drip off the bottom support bolt. I don't get how it is getting to it though, should I loosen the bolts and move the whole assembly forward with the glass out?
