Thumbs Up How to get the vue some more air for horsepower??

Just wondering if there are any other tricks to getting more horse power to my vue im thinking about going with a k n filter and im not to sure what else anyone has done to help get some more safe horse power i know when i had my 89 stang there where a few tricks to getting a few more horses can anyone help me out and what k n filter am i looking to buy and do i gotta leave the filter cover on or do i just replace the stock filter and cover it back up im assuming leaving the cover off would get me more air ??

I replaced mine with a K&N stock replacement. there is one that is open but I don't know the part number. there was a post recently on this. I'll see if I can locate it and post a link here for you.

FYI

Just looked at the old thread for the K & N filters. There was a link to their universal filters, but did anyone notice that it says they're only legal for racing vehicles and NOT for highway? The universal cone looked great, but if it's not legal then I'll just stick with the stock replacement.
