Default Question before I buy everything(fe5 suspension)

The suspension needs to be done in my 2006 ion 3 so I plan on upgrading the suspension the fe5 found in the cobalt ss. Just need a bit of confirmation before I go forward. All I need is cobalt shocks, struts and springs from a turbo ss and the conversion/adaptor kit from Powell correct? Is there anything else I am missing? Just want to make sure I have everything straight before I buy all this stuff.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Don't IOn's have swaybars? Sway bar bushings and end links? How are yours doing?

All my bushings appear to be ok, including sway bar ones.

Another option I have available is redline springs.

I've done the fe5 conversion.

According to rockauto, the springs for all quadcoupes are the same (ACDELCO 45H1485). Mine looked okay so I didn't bother buying new ones. You'll need the new struts and a new strut mount (technically, you don't need a NEW strut mount, but get it...). Inspect EVERYTHING before you do the job. Need new swaybar links? You got to remove them, so... get new ones and do both. That just makes sense

Everywhere I looked said to use the old strut nut with the new struts because the new one is thicker? I forgot and haven't had any issues 10k miles later. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

Also, my car doesn't have ABS. The only difference between left/right struts is the ABS sensor mounts. If you don't have ABS, save yourself the money and buy two of whichever struts are cheaper (Probably only a few $$ but hey, that's a gallon of gas )
