Which part? If it was the rear muffler strap, replace it with some hose clamps.

Junkyard!

I just got mine yesterday. It costed me $10.

Or you can go to home depot and make your own bracket.

Your local parts store should be able to get ahold of one. In fact yesterday I was checking out the cost of all the exhaust parts (hangers included) on my 93 SL2, we could get ahold of all of them within 2 days where I work. Advance Auto Parts. Similar stores should be able to get them. I forget the exact price of the hangers though....maybe $10?
Good luck.

You need to buy two parts (no parts#, sorry!) from the stealership if you want to do it right with less hassle:

1 Muffler Strap + Bolt
1 Muffler L-shape Hanger bar + Bolt
Everything costs about $30 something....

The trip you spent to Saturn will save you more time to do custom work just to fit that wedge-shape muffler. Also, only the OEM strap and bar can hold the muffler tight without rattle.

I have had good luck on both my SL1's with removing and replacing the metal part through the rubber block with a stainless hose clamp, and then replacing the muffler strap with a piece of 3/4 inch wide aluminum strap and stainless bolt from the local building supply store. The only caution is to not bend the aluminum strap with too short of a radius at the "bolt tightener gap" or it will snap.

It's a shame that the stainless exhaust system doesn't include stainless steel hangers and straps.

I thought the same thing when I installed my Borla muffler a few years back...so I made up a stainless steel mounting arrangement. I had some .060" T304 sheared to a 1" width for the band and a couple pieces of .125 T304 to make up the yoke that goes into the rubber mount. Some stainless steel bolts finished it off.

I agree!
However, it's pretty amazing to see the exhaust pipe + Muffler out-lasting the strap and bar too.

No rust on the muffler shell, while the whole strap has been corroded to pieces.....very cool to look at.
