Default intake manifold?

I looked it up and I don't see to many intake manifolds. I was curious what the best intake manifold (most air flow) for a 99 SL2, also I want it to bolt on.

It's not standard aluminum, you can make it shiny with powder coating or some other paint job...I don't think it'll polish up on it's own.

If you want to experiment with another one, only one you can use is from another '99, bolt pattern is different '91-'98 and '00-'02 use one made from plastic.

The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)

These engine don't flow like many modern 4 cylinders. You can get some power from them with breathing mods, but nothing like you see in Japanese cars. in the quest for power, your money is probably best spent on intake piping and a lighter flywheel to wake the engine up a bit.

Truly the best way to a better Saturn is to increase the cars strengths. Suspension and tires can transform these econoboxes in to great handling, twisty road machines.

Polishing aluminum is a major task and as soon as polished it must be coated with an impervious coating of which there are very few and they are expensive. Conventional lacquer is not impervious.

A coworker had a really nice intake manifold on his Accord, I was thinking of getting one similar and TIG welding on a Saturn Flange for the hell of it when I get some cams made.
