Default Re: Body Control Module (BCM)

Only as a conduit to monitor a/c signals for diagnostics purposes and to pass control signals through to the ECM. The ECM needs a/c signals only to alter engine rpm from compressor load otherwise the HVAC control panel is the main control for turning on the a/c. If you are having a/c issues the bcm isn't likely the cause or failure for the a/c system to operate. Most members posting about bcm issues write about random lights turning on/off, horn beeping, and disabling the engine from running, not about interfering with a/c operation.
