2009 AURA XE
Default Interest in trading Chrome for Alloy wheels

I purchased the Aura XE with chrome wheels, not sure I like them. I like the alloy wheels on some of the XR models. Anyone want chrome for alloy?
Thanks.

Congrats on your new XE. Regarding the wheel swap, wishful thinking. I don't think anyone would want plastic wheel covers over alloys. However, I was in the same boat as the only Aura with the options I wanted had the $200 chrome wheel option. What I did was picked up some regular silver wheel covers on eBay for $40. Haven't swapped them yet, but will see which ones I like better.

Thanks. At first I hated the chrome wheels, now I hate them less. They go with Silver well. My car was missing floor mats and the side nets in the trunk. Stock is getting low, only 3000 Saturn Aura's as of Dec 1, 2009. I got a collector's car .

I really like the Chrome wheel covers, I think they look very good on the Aura, especially when clean.

I would like a set of the 18" XR rims, only because I like the multi-spoke design. In my opinion, 5-spoke rims begin looking so every-day-of-the-week, and thats my only beef with them.

But I think they are a nice alternative to other wheel covers.

Here's another option. I replaced my 18 inch factory alloys off of my 08' Aura XR, after a couple hundred miles. I was planning on saving them to mount snow tires on them but never have.

I'd sell them outright for $300 plus shipping or pickup in Colorado Springs 80917. They are PERFECT with no center caps or sensors. Interested?

$300 sounds like a heck of a deal to me for wheels......... but hey getting four tires would be better yet. Maybe you can find a deal on ebay that includes the entire car delivered to your house for $299
Then you can put your HUBCAPS up for sale, maybe you can get $300 for them and break evan.

I have seen a few Aura XE's with chrome wheels and think they look great. They don't look anything like the grey or chrome plastic wheel covers. If you got Chrome wheels, your car is looking better than it would with the XR wheels, unless you chromed them too. There is a shop here in Palm Springs that will chrome the alloys for $150 each. Thought about it, but just can't justify the $600 on my SSI income.
