Default Great deals on 2003 leftovers

I took my SW2 in yesterday for an oil change, annual state safety certification (I was exempt from annual emissions testing because I only went 4500 miles since last year), and some routine Winterizing (battery and charging systems testing). While the work was being performed I spent some time strolling the lot and I noticed a couple of 2003 leftovers with pretty surprising prices on their windshields:

L200 (4 cyl) $14,500 (after $1200 rebate and $2500 (or $3500?)
"customer choice" discount). That is less than I paid for my SW2 in 1993 including a GM employee discount!

L300 (6 cyl) $17,500 (after same discounts as above).

Even accounting for the L series' mediocre resale value and the depreciation on an already year-old new car, that is a LOT of car for the money. If I was currently employed I might have really been tempted by these offers. On the other hand, since the total service cost on my almost 11 year old Saturn was well under $200 for the past year, maybe not. :-)

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

2003 ION-3 Sedan
Default

My roomates cousin got a pretty good deal on his 2003 Ion 2 leftover. I think he got like $3 or 4K off. I am not sure exactly what his rebates and stuff were, but $3 or 4K would have been nice off the price of my Ion 3....

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
