I need your help!

I'm getting ready to launch the all-new SaturnFans.com Classifieds section in the next few days. The new system has been setup to help you more easily buy and sell merchandise on SaturnFans.com. All members, retailers, and advertisers have the ability to post ads in this section free of charge. The system includes many of the suggestions posted in the forums and sent to me in PMs/emails.

Features of the SaturnFans.com Classifieds include:

• Sellers can place classified ads for fixed prices or with optional eBay style bidding enabled
• Sellers can upload several photos to display with each classified ad
• Sellers can set an expiration date for each ad
• Sellers can enter a zip code (optional - enter 00000 if you don't want to reveal your location) to let propestive buyers determine their approximate distance from you for pickup or to estimate shipping fees
• Sold It! and Relist It! options to disable/re-enable ads
• User feedback system to provide ratings and feedback for buyers and sellers
• Contact seller page allows buyers to contact sellers without revealing seller email address
• Search by keyword

I've created categories for each Saturn model, plus categories for "general Saturn" and "non-Saturn" items. Please post ads in the approriate categories. You can see a sample ad here.

Please use this new system instead of posting your classified ads here (eventually the forum-based classifieds section will be closed to new posts). Let me know what you think!

VERY cool feature, Charlie!!

My question is, what about "want to buy" ads? How will those work? Still post them in the forums, or will they be worked into it like a normal "for sale" ad?

Cause I'm in dire need of an AC compressor.

If you go into the S-Series Classifieds section you should see a "want to buy" category. Those types of request should be listed there instead of the forum. Once the new Classifieds section is out of testing and launched, there will be tighter integration with the forum section. I'm still working on that, but work should be done in a week or two. Let me know how it works out!

I think it would work better to separate keywords by a comma instead of a space so you can use two words in a keyword!

One bug: it doesn't seem to "inherit" display options. I have avatars and signatures turned off, and yet they show up (which takes time) in the new Classifieds section.

If i'm in S-series for sale, and enter my zip code, it kicks me out to a list of everything.

XP and firefox is what I've got.

Is it possible to make this compatible with Canadian addresses (6 character alphanumeric postal code) or to specify locations by city and state/province?
