Paid 41.2 USD, including tax and delivery in February 07. No monthly payments, fortunately. Paid cash. I hate monthly payments on anything except my home mortgage.

Ditto, cash buyer also for our loaded XR. I am blessed to be able to do this.
I doubt many people would want to give monthly payments as that is personal and also varies widely by circumstances. Big down payment or small. Negative trade equity, etc....

Best advice, buy what you can afford if you were to be without a paycheck for a few months. In this economy, that is a real possibility.
