Check Gas cap, ABS warning light show up together

I have a 2005 Relay, 115000 mlles that I drive maybe once a week. Has been an awesome vehicle with never any warning lights. Today I drove around doing some errands and van running fine. On my way home I had the "Check Gas cap" message show up. I stopped and retightened the cap. After a few miles down the road the ABS light comes on and the transmission starts shifting hard. Just some noticeably hard bumps when going thru the gears. Van made it home and I parked it. Are all these problems related in some way?? Im thinking a vacuum leak or a bad evap valve. Would a bad evap valve affect the transmission like that. Where should I start on diagnosing this problem. Thanx.

I wouldn't think so, maybe a wiring problem. Read trouble codes to get some direction to start.
