2000 SL2
Default KYB upper strut mounts

I remember someone saying that they bought these as replacements from The Tire Rack, and I was just wondering what their experience was with them. I get a bad clunking going over bumps now, and the general consensus is try the strut mounts first.

And at $41, the price can't be beat....

I highly NOT recommend it!

They are inferior than (even OEM) and you'll get the bad clunking as fast as after 30k....how do I know? Right, I used to have them.

Go back to OEM strut mounts, but will keep buying KYB struts....

Really? Ugh. SPS wants $79.25 apiece for them. Think the dealer will be any cheaper?

Try saturnaccessories.com or some Saturn dealer's parts site....the price of each front top mount is below $60.

Not a bad deal, each mount set comes with (mount, turn bearing, washer, and dust boot)

I replaced my mounts with TRW from Carquest for $43 each, plus my own time. That should last another 150K miles. This is not really a "buy at the dealer" part in my opinion.

Looking for another great Saturn SL2

Haven't tried TRW but after the bad experience from KYB mount, I'd rather stick with OEM for this part.

Will definitely use KYB struts again (Made in Japan)....just not its mount (Made in Taiwan).
