Default 2009 vue

Okay folks some advice please!

I was given some advice on another thread that I need to unload my 2003 VUE FAST! So far I have only a couple problems in 6 years of the transmission slipping and none lately. Perhaps the transmission God is smiling down on me or else I have been just really lucky so far. The 2003 has just under 69,000 miles on it and most of the posts I have read indicate the magic number is 75,000 miles.

SOOOO if there are any good deals on a 2009 VUE should I take them up on it? Okay I also did say that another GM would NOT grace our driveway but well I really do like the Saturn's and if I need to GET RID of the 03 FAST I would replace it with another Saturn.

If you have a 2003 you can't have a 3.5 Lt engine. So the year is wrong or the engine is wrong.

Which engine/year?

I gotta say we love our 2009 VUE.

Get a lot of people commenting good on it.

Would buy another in a heart beat.

This isn't a question any one on here can answer for you. If you are worried that you will have problems you can not or do not want to pay for soon on your current Vue and feel that for you it is better to buy a new car then yes, get the 2009 Vue if it what you want and the price if right for you. Obviously if you're considering it then you aren't too concerned about the phasing out of the brand. With that in mind, if your finances allow it and you really want it then get it. For some people, they would rather pay to fix their vehicle than enter a new loan because of possible problems in the future. Some people don't assume that their car will experience the same issues others post about...especially if their car hasn't really given them many issues. Point is....people can give you their opinion but you need to trust your own instinct. Only you know your financial situation and needs...and more importantly, what will set YOUR mind at ease.

I guess I don't understand why if you won't want another GM... you're going for another GM. It's highly unlikely that you will get any sort of better deal there, and any money you may get off the vehicle purchase now will be counteracted by the large depreciation hit you'll take when you are fed up with this one.

If you're not happy with your GM, get something else. Don't rush into another car you'll be unhappy with. There's tons of great crossovers out there. The Edge, CX-7, and Murano are all fantastic (if not as fast/sporty as a Redline)

Going off your transmission gods comment I'm guessing yours is a 4 Cyl VTi. I'd be planning on doing something soon if it was mine.

Okay I do have a 2003 and it is an AWD 6 cylinder. So what does that make the engine size? Then does this include us within the "transmission" problems?

Sorry for being so "blank" on this.

3.0L Opel sourced engine. Your transmission should be fine. Its the early 4Cyl autos that are troublesome.

04+ gets the 3.5L Honda engine & 5A Honda tranny.

I've got 116,000 miles on my 2003 V6 AWD VUE. I've had the transmission service done at 60K and 110K miles. Perhaps this is the "trouble" the advice giver mislead you with.

I'm pleased with my VUE. I have had some repairs, but nothing more troublesome than my Nissan, Toyota or Volvo. The exception, of course, is the hub assembly on the VUE.

Unless your VUE is coming apart, why buy a new(er) VUE?
