Default Looking for a Shorter Antenna

I have the problem with the Antenna hitting the garage door. Does anyone know of a shorter antenna whip that won't affect reception?

Yours is probably a different base than my ION or SL2 ... but why not go out and grab a stubby? They're pretty cheap and come with a handful of adaptors.
I replaced both cars' antennas with rubberized stubbies just because I think the whips looked silly. I noticed no measurable change in FM, and a bit of improvement in AM, which I was surprised by.
Hit up NAPA/Autozone/Advance and check out what they offer, if you're really cheap like me, pul your existing antenna and take it in to match with the connectors on the replacements.

At only 8" long with a 1" base, the antenna angles back and sits 8" high. It pretty much is a "stubby" antenna.

Maybe the antenna used in the Aura could work. Other than that, I don't have any options.

Try adjusting your garage door opener so it lifts the door to the max amount. My garage door is a 16'x7' by and it clears by 4 or 5 inches easy. As a matter of fact I used to drive a 4x4 Ford EXCURSION in and out no problem.

No can do. It's already adjusted to the max. I think the previous home owner re-paved the garage floor and drive leading to it and had increased the slab thickness or re-directed pitch....DOH!

Not sure if it would work or if it is even compatable but what about one of the little stubbies that come on some of the Pontiac Montana's or Chevy Venture vans. They are pretty short and if they are compatible it would probably do the trick.
