2002 SC2
1998 SL2
Default Re: Saturn Goldmine

I counted four, as well.

silver 2nd gen SL2 at the beginning
At 0:50, white SC1 and silver SL2, cop pulls out in front of the latter
At 0:55, a dark SC2 parked behind the black pickup

Four Saturns is just a given Saturday for me

(heck - I just realized I have three in my driveway, and there are folks with many more than me!)

I'm not worthy to grovel in the shadow of Signmaster's wisdom

11/2016 red 2002 5 spd SC2 151k DD
7/2010 Craigslist white 1997 SC2 project
12/2008 eBay silver 1998 SL2 5 spd 102k, now 201k+ miles

Four counted. And to think this was a two-minute news segment. The fifty second mark had two, but you'll miss the first Saturn (a white SC) if your attention is on the motorcycle cop pulling in front of the second (a silver SL) in pursuit of the gold Lexus sedan trying to cross the divider.

The gray SL2 (with the 3XXXnnn series tag) was not a bait car. It belonged to a relative who did not give the teenagers permission to operate the vehicle. When they took the car anyway, the relative contacted authorities and the plate number appeared on the 'hot list' for all California police agencies to see, and I'm not surprised they got treated like bank robbers since auto theft is a felony offense. Not exactly the kind of 'teachable moment' one wants to experience in life.

...
No more Saturns! :(
