2006 VUE 2.2L
Default So long to my best car EVARRRR!

I recently traded my 2006 2.2l manual for a new Chevy Cruze. I had a ridiculously reliable and cheap car in the Vue. I can only hope for the same luck with the Cruze.

The Vue only let me down twice (not starting) in 259,000 miles. Once a starter and once an alternator each replaced well after any normal expectation of longevity had been well exceeded. I did very little maintenance, ran it hard, towed with it, hauled junk in it, and just plain beat it up.

Hopefully, its next owner treats it like I did and has as much luck with it. It by far goes down as my best car purchase ever.

I looked for cheap and reliable and got both by a long shot. If I could have convinced my wife the right thing to do was to keep it, I'd not be posting this. She had to drag my ***** to the dealership... I really wanted to keep it and see if I could hit that 300k mark on the original clutch and motor. Maybe the next owner can.

No longer a Saturn owner, but always a Saturn Fan!

Very encouraging to hear, as I bought mine used with ~80k and am only up to 118k now. I've never replaced a clutch on my vehicles and hope to keep up that streak.

Hope the Cruz gives you as good of service.
