Reworded for proper listing:

I have what used to be a functional radiator until it cracked. It is now only useful as a chunk of recyclable aluminum, but I'd prefer if someone bought it from me for the same price as a brand new warrantied radiator. Please contact me if you are very stupid.

Craigslist looks like it's turning into the new ebay. Everything is either extremely rare or broken, but it is a simple five minute fix to get it mint again just that the current owner doesn't have five minutes to fix it.

Apparently celebrity deaths aren't the only things that come in threes. As of this writing, the latest three Saturn postings in a row on Milwaukee CL:

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/wan/1366354703.html - Dang, all my spare trannies are silver plum....

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/1366311226.html - National Take a Pic of Your Car With Your Own Shadow In It Month continues; this week, it's Wear Baggy Shorts With Skinny Legs and Wait 'Til the Shadows are Real Long Week. (Seriously, how mind-bogglingly difficult is it to take a photograph of something, and look at the foreground and background along with the subject? )

and, at Saturn of MilKwaukee ... http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/ctd/1366088549.html - So has this been sitting on the lot for a whole year plus, and did the dealer install the ILLEGAL front door window tint, or did they actually sell it to someone, who installed the ILLEGAL tint and then turned around and traded it in with only 176 miles on it? I wonder if it's a felony, or just misdemeanor fraud, for a dealer to sell a vehicle that's not street legal without divulging it to the buyer.

Bought my '97 SC1 from a used dealer with the front windows tinted. Had been in my state a couple years and been inspected...stupid _____ing Vermont doesn't care if the rear windows are solid steel but you put anything resembling tint on the front windows and it's a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ fine. Or you have to pull it off for inspection, unless you know a guy

Here's one for you.

http://delaware.craigslist.org/cto/1328228146.html

No. Title.

Like, WTF? Did he steal it? What happened to it? Can't you just request another copy from the DMV or something? I thought that was sorta the point of every vehicle on the planet having a VIN.

Finding cars that are separated from the title are not that uncommon. Nothing shady about it either. It just takes a bit of work to get it all sorted out. Sounds like this person has enough going on that there is no interest in the sorting process.

At least he didn't suggest altering the title with white-out (see post #26 ^^^^). But all his "ideas" suggest that there is no clear title to be obtained for the car (i.e. it's scrapped).
