Another brand of replacement H11 bulb
The low beam of the 2003+ models is H11, as some of us found out the hard way (when we believed what it said in the owner's manual).
I had mentioned on previous posts that I had tried Hoen 70 watt bulbs, but I had a lot of burn-outs, and went back to the original 55 watt bulbs.
I came across a brand - Optilux - which I understand is Asian, but sold by Hella. Here is a description -
Optilux Xenon Whites - bulbs filled with xenon gas. Utilizing a blue quartz glass allows the bulbs to simulate the color of actual daylight.
they are 55 watts, but I was wondering - has anyone tried them? I was also wondering if the bulb would be hotter, with xenon in it? I would think that a buld that is too hot would damage the reflector assembly.
