Default Run without cluster?

Newbie here. First post. Thank you in advance.
I currently have 2 cars we race on paved circle.an 99 SL2and a 97 SL1 w/mp3 tranny. Recently got an older sc1 racer that we ended up just stripping for parts. Not sure of the year of it but noticed a few things before we started rearing it apart.
1.No apparent rev limiter. At least ehile sitting in nuetral. My other cars bounce at 4200.
2. The absence of the guage cluster.Im afraid to try this on my cars because we have hade experience with cavys refusing to start after removing them until having the pcm flashed to remove security which csn not be done on thr saturns if I sm correct.?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

'91-'99 S-Series doesn't care about the cluster.

If there isn't a neutral rev limiter it probably has an automatic PCM, though I thought that only removed the moving rev limiter. If the PCM thinks it's moving over 5mph the neutral rev limiter (~4500rpm) gets turned off, and the moving limiter (~6750rpm) gets turned on.

Thanks fetchitfido.
I new about the moving limiter and I dont really have a need for the no load RL but we just noticed it while rapping the throttle a few times and just noticed the absence of it.
Good to know I can delete the cluster.
I would like to install a mechanical oil and water guage.
Can anybody tell me how I could install a tach. Could I get a tach signal off of the ignition module?
