exhaust idea?

Since i have to replace my sohc downpipe to a dohc downpipe i may as well change the rest of the exhaust as well. Ive aleays like the side exit exhaust exiting just before the rear wheel. Im thinking about actually gii.g through with it. Just replace the cat with my thrush turbo muffler and a 45 degree angle to the passenger side exit. My question is number one how will it sound? Will i lose a significant amiunt of power due to lack of back pressure. Has anyone done this to their s series. And is it even feasible? Note i will be using the same diameter stainless pipe as well. Opinions and comments are highly valued.

Can't really answer your questions, but a word of caution...I don't know about Florida, but in NY you would run the risk of failing inspections because the exhaust needs to exit at the rear o the vehicle. I think it says specifically "exits behind rear wheels".

I appreciate the concern, but lucky enough we dont have any emission checks of any sort here. the police in town dont bother us too much when it comes to vehicles. noise, loud stereos, bumper height, or tire size. we actually have room to play with our toys, (for a lack of better words)
