Check Engine light - P4010 code
Our 2002 L100's 'check engine' light came on last week. Our mechanic saw it as a 'P4010' code, cleared the error to see if it would come back again which it did. I saw on the SC forum people mentioned the P4010 code was an EGR or HCT replacement. After his diagnostic testing what turned out for our L100 was the SMOG pump not working right. A new AC Delco Secondary Air Injection Pump Motor was $166 with a hour of labor to replace. So heads up if you see a P4010 code on your L-series.
