Would this include corresponding Cobalts and G5s from that period as well?

GM being cheap, like the OUTLOOK brake booster recall only in colder areas. what if someone has the car registered in another state? or move south in a year? or go on a road trip?

Yeah GM being cheap here in GA our dealership has done well over a dozen this year alone, in comparison we didn't sell to many 07 ions.

This recall is crap, I am planing on Moveing to FL or NV with the next two years. What happens then. Why is this cracking is the first place? Why won't it crack in NY? I don't know how this could be legal.

It's unbelievable simply unbelievable, people complain if there car is on a recall list or if it's not on a recall list.

No, with all due respect I think it's more: one more bloody thing that was cost cut to the last dime. Sort of like the ignition switches that won't work in cold weather. Or the lousy strut bushings, or the leaking headlights or intermediate steering shaft failures. Or any # of other instances where GM's slash and burn penny pinching helped to destroy their reputation.

WELL PUT! Saturn owners still can not go to other GM dealers for warrenty repairs. How many times have I callled about that tooooooo many and what has been done nothing.

I am waiting for the recall to include 03-05 as well. It can't be far behind and was my first thought when I heard about the initial recall.

You most certainly can go to non-Saturn GM dealership for warranty work. It's up to the dealership if they want to do the work, though, like any other service.

That kind of sounds like what happened to my ION here in sunny Ohio. I ended up with a new tank/fuel pump due to cracks and leaking fuel.

Have you called the Customer Assistance line? They can find you a shop to do it or you can file a complaint with them. Some way, some how, your warranty work will get done.
