I'm going to look at a 2008 Vue AWD tomorrow..... anything in particular I should be focusing my attention on?

The Outlook models had the 6T75 transmission which had a significant number of failures due to a "3-5-R wave plate" which, as failure occurred, meant that the transmission couldn't shift to those gears. GM warrantied all of those transmissions, but according to the NHTSA.gov link below this warranty has expired. If the transmission has not had the warranty service provided, or the owner claims it was done but lacks documentary evidence to support it, then walk away and don't look back. Who ever may be the next and unlucky owner will eventually pay the full price of the repair.

So I looked at it today:
More scratches than the pictures show. Exhaust seemed a little loose, but wasn't loud. Transmission looked a little wet underneath. (It did go into reverse) Engine started ticking loudly. The tick may just be nothing, as my SL2 did that too since it hadn't been driven for awhile and needed an oil change. I didn't test the AWD. Maybe that's all automatic any way? Dye in refrigerant tag in engine compartment. I want to like it, and bid on it, but it's got enough not right with it, that I'm quite leery. I guess I'll check with the local Chevy dealer and see if they can tell me about it's service history. Maybe I'll do some more research on that timing chain problem.

Also fair amount had timing chain problems. If I were to get an outlook, Acadia, enclave I’d go with a 2012 or newer.

I believe the last year of production for the Outlook was 2010, and they were all sold to rental agencies, so maybe most sought after ?!

I decided not to bid. I couldn't bring myself to bid between the transmission and engine problem possibilities. It was also not in quite the shape the pictures made it out to be, although it wasn't horrible, either.
I'm still looking. If not an Outlook, maybe an Enclave.
