Dizzy P0727 and P1780 error codes

I have a 2000 Saturn LS2 fully loaded...love it...did until the problems started. First the car would not start up on occasion. Seemed to be the security system. Then it would not start up after driving, shutting off and getting back in car...son changed spark plugs, am told now that i have a vaccum leak (thank you my son ). Have the manual, says engine speed sensor, ok...anyone have a clue as to where this thing is???? Evidently, there is a wire unplugged that needs to be plugged back in, unfortunately, we cannot find the sensor to plug that bugger into. HELP!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

what code are you getting that tells you "engine speed sensor"? who says there's a vacuum leak? none of the codes you provided indicate either.

I thought that the V6 did not come with a manual trans? I could be wrong but that was the info that I have found.

EDIT:
The L200 does come with a manual trans but it is not a V6 so the TSB may not work for your car.
