Dizzy missing oil

i have a 2000 sl-1. in a 3000m oil intervel i will use 2q of oil. the car doesn't smoke or have any leaks. there's no oil in the coolent . i have been watching around the clutch for maybe a rear main. but i have no idea where it's going. the car also has i bit of a valve tap. i don't know any help is needed.

It is burning it, but not in an excessive amount to see it out the tailpipe from the driver's seat. The Catalytic is eating up most of the blue smoke. Try an MMO soak or two, look up the procedure in the How-To section. 1qt is typical, 2qt is a bit excessive. The other option is to re-ring the pistons.

OEM PCV valve is a good (cheap) starting point. If it is old and worn, it will contribute to sucking oil, if it is a cheap one from the parts store same thing.

thanx. that's what i was afraid of. it has a 107,000 on her. almost all highway. i'm guessing they have hydrolic lifters so they are probibly going bad but i will give it a try. i'm a diesel tech so this gas stuff is like chinese instructions to me. it's funny i can build a 800hp 1100ft/tq diesel pulling truck but a 100hp saturn hum i don't know. gas stuff well there's only one way to learn. thanks again for the help
