Default Purge Valve cross reference?

I want to the local Chev dealer today and they want quite a bit for purge valve, P/N 55562350.

But he also said, that the Chevy Trax cross references, but I can't find nothing on google. I assume I could get a used one at a junk yard if the Trax does fit. more of the on the road here in Canada than Astra's. Any astra that gets junked is sold right away to parts dealers. they are rare

thanks in advance.

Did you Google 'P/N 55562350' without any descriptions? Amazon, ebay and many other sites have your part. Tried rockauto.com?

I did find where to buy it, but was wondering if what the parts guy said was true. could have gotten a used one for cheaper and instantly.

would this work if my hoses are still good?

When you decide to repair your car, you assume all risks for good or bad repairs. You asked about part cross references and nothing more. Unless you can test a purge valve for operation and understand emissions controls, guessing can be an experiment in parts substitution.

Is there a reason for replacing this part? Error code? Care to share your troubleshooting/diagnosis?

Yes, I got 2 codes, P0456 and P0442. All EVAP. Talked to experienced Mechanics and told them when I fuel up, car is hard to start and sometimes the idle goes up and down.

They said it's that part.

this forum says that part when I researched the same symptoms.

Didn't know I had to go in all details just to ask a simple question.

I did my homework prior. but I also understand FORUMS. Ran 1 for 10 years and simple questions get ignored.

If there is no cross reference that ou know of, just say so i'll be on my merry way.

PEACE OUT.

You asked a simple question and I responded. Simple enough? It's always your choice to buy a used one. No one will openly state "yeah go ahead and buy used..." for you to come back later (worse case scenario) and blame anyone for bad advice if it doesn't work. I won't since I don't know enough to help with troubleshooting the one you have to determine whether or not its broken. Personally, I ask questions to minimize parts substitution to see if a member can test a part for damage before making any conclusions. I realize now you may not like playing twenty questions so this will be my last reply so you can feel free to comment with any other member trying to help.

I replaced mine 4 weeks ago...cost $150.00 here in Atlantic Canada. This is the part that goes under hood, top back of engine!
