I actually kind of like it. I think it would look better in actual paint, rather than a bang up photo-chop job. But still, it gets the idea across. I think pearl white would look better than silver personally, but I've started to develop a thing for pearl white lately...

Yeah I love messing around with photoshop.

I was bored a few weeks back and playing with a pic of my car when I came up with these to different chops of it.

Here's the 1st one. http://saturncraze.com/mysaturn/green.jpg

If I hadn't recently painted my car I would have went with this paint scheme. http://saturncraze.com/psp/2tonesmall.jpg

Here's the original shot of the car. http://saturncraze.com/mysaturn/77.JPG

That back bumper is all wrong. Just let those horizontal stripes along the side END at the back bumper. Those little twin flare shapes across each side the back bumper are way too "west coast customs" for me. I guess the "curvy" decorative nature of that shape is at odds with the strongly geometric design on the side (which ain't bad). Not feeling the stripe across the top either. Not a lot of cars can pull that off.

And you need to photoshop some 17's on there, because a fly paint job looks dumb on stock rims.

Nice foundation, though.

maybe if its an autocrosser or drag racer...

maybe not if its a daily driver...

I don't know exactly where the "body lines" are on a Saturn but those definitely aren't them. I hope I didn't offend you or make you wanna go psycho on me for hurting your feelings. Just some constructive criticism. I think bennett's idea might work. No racing stripe over the top and those side stripes need to end somewhere. It's a start.

edit:
Jegster! How do you do that? That looks sweet. You get to keep all the shine and glare of your car after you "paint" it. What kind of editing program are you using? I'm guessing it's not Microsoft Paint.

My guess would be the grandaddy - Adobe Photoshop. He's right, nice work, Jegster.

I use Paint Shop Pro 8. I just put another layer of whatever color I want the car to be on top of the original picture so it's just covering the car. I then use the "blend mode" for the layer I created to get the desired transparency and color I want.
