Dimmer switch + gauge lights not working

Busy day yesterday.
I wrapped the connector in electrical tape and left it lying on the floor. Then snapped the switch into its home. After cleaning under the console, I put back almost everything I had removed. I'll wait a couple of days to secure the console at its base in case I need to get in there again.

The lights seem to be working okay -- gauges and PRND lights are on, and the dimmer dims and brightens as it should. I haven't gone anywhere yet to test under actual running conditions.

I again want to thank you all for helping me get my Satty through this.

You aren't that far from an actual repair at this point in time. Just a bad connection on pin C or a drop of solder or a new diode and it would be like new. Putting it back together, leaving it stuck in performance mode from now on, seems like a hollow victory. Just sayin'.

I know what you're saying, but I have to pick my battles.
As long as my gauges are lit up, and the current state of the Perf switch doesn't negatively affect my Satty's driveability, it will have to stay that way.

My next issue to take care is my power windows that are getting stuck. I might start a new thread if it gets complicated.

In view of all that, once you have your windows in the up position, pull the 30a window fuse in the under-hood fuse box and use your air conditioning from now on.

Besides replacing the motor and greasing everything, there were broken tabs and disintegrated door sound material.
