Looking good.

I probably shouldn't be surprised that there are such a thing as Deadpool car seat covers, but I am a little surprised

Have seen some decent looking ones, though.

Then there's this

I went to LQK junk yard looking for a driver’s side seat belt but struck out so far. The 99 belt is frayed I used a lighter the get rid of some of the fray.
Color match does not help fine one. The one I found was gray and not in much better shape as the one I have.

The bad part is not shown in the picture. The picture was for me to match the color in the JY

I grabbed some fuses so he has a few extras. I got new plastic insert where the belt goes in maybe that will help not fray it more.
I took back some old parts for the core charge what a scam core charge.

My son sprayed degreaser on the motor and transmission and I pressure washed them. Now if there are any leaks we will be able to see where it is coming from.

Get a can of cheap foot powder and a duster. You can gently dust the engine from top to bottom every so often and then inspect. Wash after inspecting though. Normal leak point is the plastic cam cover on the left end, look for oil pooling in the depression between the EGR and head. The other point is the left back side over #3 and #4 cylinders. If you have an aluminum cover it is a non discriminating leaker so check all the way around, also not a common leak point.

We put plates on the car and have put on about 50 miles on it so far.
No check engine light. The only issue was we parked on a hill and used the parking brake.
The drivers back wheel was dragging I pulled over and backed up a couple times and it let loose and drove home fine.
I will put it on the lift tomorrow and see what is up the E brake.

It looks like when we used the E brake the adjuster fell out and messes up the drum.
I ordered new shoes, new drums new springs, and new adjusters. We already put in new wheel cylinders. I will shoe my boy how to adjust the adjuster before calling it done.
The adjuster wheel was in bad shape.

Back brakes are all new. New heater core hose and the car is on the road. My oldest son drove the 99 to school today while his 96 is being worked on to get ready to paint.

New front rotors the old ones had a wash board feel. New front brakes adjusted back brakes.
New old front seat belt. It works great.
My son has been driving every day now he still has his permit.

Added a can Freon the AC is working so much better.

I work from home so no real need for a car. I do like to drive the boy’s car sometimes.
We have solar and drive a Volt it is very nice to drive on the sun. We sure put alot less miles on our Volt now that my son drives to school.

My son and I took out his front seats. We took off the front covers and put them through the washing machine.
We are happy with the results. They are 20 years old so lots of dirt came out.

We will take out the back seats tonight.
The carpet comes out this weekend. Pressure washing time.

Our washer is a LG top load that does not have a traditional washing machine agitator.
It just uses pressure water movement to clean. That works out well for this job.
We washed each part of the cover by itself so the plastic pieces would not harm the other covers.

The covers are outside drying out today.

While your covers are off you might consider resewing the seams. You could even sew in strips of Ripstop Nylon to help reinforce the seams. I would use a good Coats and Clarks Quilting thread with a 18 needle. On anything you hand sew, run the thread through beeswax to make it is easier for the thread to go through the fabric. As a final protection, you can Scotchguard the covers.

I was going to say "....and add seat heaters!" but then I saw you are in South Carolina. I still use mine in the summer sometimes but they are more of a winter accessory.

The back-bottom bench seat is all we have left to wash. The carpet is washed and drying out.
It is a big improvement.

The spots on the drivers side are burn marks. Last owner must have smoked.
They will get covered up with the floor mats.
