Default Mud Flaps/Splash Guards

Just purchased an Outlook XR with everything but the Nav and AWD. I amlooking for ways to get a splash guards for front and back. GMC already has splash guards for the Acadia. I think they are somewhat universal in terms of the ones for the Yukon/Tahoe can go on the Acadia. The rear ones also have the GMC logo on them.

Has anyone heard of or seen front and rear splash guards for the Outlook, maybe even ones with a subtle Saturn logo on them?

Thanks, but I was looking to add them myself. Saturn dealerships appear to price the accessories with the install labor included. I want to save some dough and not pay 1 or 2 hours labor for a simple install. The GMC Acadia guys appear to have added the guards themselves with little effort. Still looking for buying them from one of the many Saturn Parts and Accessories web sites out there, but have not found them. Any help would be appreciated.

I would assume that the dealer would just sell them to you minus the labor if you wanted them. Try asking at the parts counter? I'm hoping to do likewise with the side step bars. Especially with the outrageous "labor included" prices that people have been getting quoted for them.

Here is a link to the GMPartsDirect site. Some of the parts for the Acadia, especially the ones without the GMC logo, might/could be applied to the Outlook. I do not gaurantee anything, but it's at least worth a look since they are essentially the same car.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Very helpful.

Hmmmmm Molded Splash guards vs. Flat w/ Contour. Any ideas?

Also, how soon should we expect more assecories and aftermarket products for a new vehicle like the Outlook/Acadia/Buick one (forgot the name)?

Acadia mudflaps don't fit Outlook due to different wheelwell shapes and moldings. Of course I don't think you'd want "GMC" on your Outlook anyways

If you go to www.saturnaccessories.com then you can order the mud/splash guards online. They are $39 for the front set and $39 dollars for the back set. Once you get them you can either put them on yourself or call and have the delaer put them on for you. That is where I ordered my accessories from. They orders are filled by Saturn of Decataur (sorry if I missplled it). I read that on the website.

Thumbs Up Re: Mud Flaps/Splash Guards

I ordered mudflaps for $80 from www.saturnaccesories.com. That do not have any logo's on them, but they are custom made/form fitted and look nice on the vehicle. I installed mine with no problems!!

Outlook IL,

Thanks for the heads up on the mudflap DIY. Is the install just a few screws/nuts? I am picking up my XR today. Dealer added $995 to the MSRP for mudflaps, pinstripes, and clear bra. I laughed.. The sales rep was cool about it and admitted it was kind of a ripoff. We negotiated to $295 for a clear bra only. I am sure its more than I would pay aftermarket, but its within reason.

The are custom fit with screws. It call for a drill on a couple of holes, but it drilling into plastic, so it wasn't a big deal. To make it an easy install, I took my tires off to install them, because I had to jack the vehicle up to put on the side assist steps.

Just recently put on front and rear mud guards which I ordered for $80 from saturnaccessories. For those of you that have them, I was wondering if there is a slight gap between the molding on Outlook and mud guards or is it solid flush? I installed mine myself with some help from the father in-law and were pretty positive we followed the directions exactly but still noticed a slight gap on all four guards. Nothing excessive were talking maybe a 1/8''+. I think it would be pretty hard to screw up since most of your holes already exist and your just reinserting the screws from the wheel liner. If anyone has a close up pic of yours to compare, it would be of big help.

You may want to try drilling out the holes on the splash guard to give you some more adjustment and a tighter fit. Many of the new vehicles have unsupported body panels and fluctuation in the manufacturing can cause panels to be slightly out of design position.
