Alrighty after sending in pictures and the salvage cert, and waiting paitently. my title for the 94 sw2, I got from my uncles yard has arrived.
and I have decided to throw it up on jack stands for a few months in my very first saturn build-up. Most reactions so far have been narrowed down to.... "A wagon???? why? just why a wagon?" "dude, thats absolutely cool." and my favorite added in from the ball and chain "My mother drives a station wagon" Anywho despite some objections and some critique I'm going to go on with it I have rounded up the following. 1. Rust free 2002 cradle and lower control arm assy. 2. low mileage 94 dohc auto tranny. 3. 98 Sl abs strut/spindle assys. 4. 98 SL abs axles. 5. 92 Header/downpipe. 6. 93 head (already at machine shop for dip and shave) 7. brand new in box egr valve. 8. gasket/head bolt set from Saturn of P. hill. 9. 97 Dohc block. 10. brand new 99 sc2 steering rack. 11. 17" wheels by Vault and nice 205/45 tires 12. a borla dual outlet muffler from a Grand Am. 13. extra intake cam to place in the exhaust side. 14. 1 5 gal bucket of misc bolts, relays, tranny lines, nuts, motor mounts, body clips, and stupid lil ditties. aside from this, list, mind you some were brought home from work for lower mileage on the parts rather than performance in mind (I'm not thinking those 98 struts will add 10 HP) I'm looking to add a CAI, better flowing exhaust and fuel pressure regulator upgrades. anywho I'll get some pictures before and post em, and get a few while I'm working on it. If theres anything I may have missed for a mild engine build-up leme know. and I know its always asked but, what can I expect from this buildup powerwise?

I've always wanted to do a sleeper '94 SW2, to be honest. It just seems to laughable to pull up to a ricer, and blast 'em with a plastic station wagon.

With all of those parts from various years, I sure hope you are able to make it work, as the engine designs changed from the 94 to 95 model year
EGR changed from Vaccuum to Electric Solenoid Throttle Body went to MFI in 95 HP increased in SOHC from 85 to 100 HP in 95 Wiring Harness compatibility from 97/93/94 model years just things I can think of currently..... you may have a bit of a hard time making everything work from different years like this, but if you do, good luck...most ppl I have seen on here just swap out an entire engine, instead of mating up diiferent parts from multiple year cars. If you are successful, more luck to you; but I think you may run into some problems along the way...

StarrAuto one thing you might want to consider while you're swapping that block. There's some extra bracing in the 2000 and up blocks. You can't swap the block with that head but, if you get hold of a beat up 2000 or up engine, that bracing can be swapped. I've seen a how-to for doing it. I can't remember whether it was on here or on sixthsphere.

Thanks for the supportive posts.
the abs sensors are the same, the main reason I'm messing with newer spindles and axles is the larger size spindle stub. 99-02 lower girdle, I thought about that, and yes, I do have quite a few old core engines laying in a pile, but, is there really any advantage, if I'm just doing an all motor, non forced induction buildup, I guess I could, just incase I change plans in the future... and since the block is sitting on the engine stand it would be easy, Ehh what the hey, I'll bring one home tomorow.

I had no idea, There was such thing as a Deebs build, but however, after looking into it.. Yes... that is preciesly what I'm up too, And thank you very much for the direction of my attention, to the basic Deebs recipe, It added a few other little pointers that I want to keep in mind, and perhaps just perhaps, if I do alil more homework, tinker and tweak alil, I may be able to nail my 150hp goal.

One thing that is growing some concern, is that I've noticed almost everyone that builds a satty, Is saying a huge loss on bottom end, is there any way to compensate for this? I know on an older v-8 its easy as changeing the intake and cams, to bump the lower rpm range power up...
I have no idears what to do on the saturn motor.

Ok... So, After explaining my SW project to a few friends, I have inadvertantly picked up 2 sponsors, In makeing an SW drag car.
ones willing to help with paint and body, its appreciated but not needed. the other is offering usage of his lift, pipe bender and some added hands on weekends if needed, greatly appreciated... the downside of this, is its no longer a simple project, its now a money sucking hobby. anywho, I'm looking for a little help in information, and yes, the "Saturnfans.com" will find a place on the car. I know theres stickys and searches etc etc... but I'm looking to be directed towards a manual conversion, and also any info on the megasquirt or other fuel system mods, I seem to recall a friend of mine Mark, with a turbo SC that used Mercury Sable injectors in his manifold. Cars going manual, turbo and light weight. also getting painted white, with black gothic style flames slatherd on the front end,
