Front End Noise

As I was turning right into a driveway today I noticed a strange 'groan' or 'creak' as I very slowly drove over the concrete median lip which separates the road and the driveway up to a slight incline to the driveway. I heard it again later when I went over a small speed bump dead slow. Both times it sounded like it came from the driver side front wheel area. Our 07 VUE only has about 8,000 miles on it. What could it be?

Sway bar bushings. Creaky VUEs are unfortuneately very common.

There's hundreds of threads about them, you might want to look through some older ones. It's still under warranty.

Or lower table bushings....or upper strut bearings....or wheel bearings....there are so many issues with the Vue's suspension that I am sure the dealer techs won't be stumped on this issue.

Bring it in to the dealer, they will find out which one is causing the noise.

I still love the Vue but the suspension issues have always been a thorn in my side.

Take it right in for warranty work. I have owned 5 Saturns. Unfortunately 4 of them had some kind of front end noises. You would think they could get this right by now. Oh, the one that didn't have front end noise, was the VTI I got rid of with 12k on it. I'm sure it would of had front end noise eventually too. I'm getting tired of the front end issues and am starting to look at other vehicles as a replacement. Too bad because I've been loyal to Saturn for a very long time.

I've been loyal to Saturn too, for 18 years now. Fuel economy and quality are making me look elsewhere.
