The OnStar Turn-by-Turn Directions (or whatever its called) does give travel directions; the difference is the screen. One advantage of the OnStar version is that since it's displayed in the Driver Information Center in the gauge cluster, there's less eyes off the road time and/or the eyes aren't as far off. With screens, they are often mounted lower in the dash. Screens, on the other hand, make it easier to enter a destination.

If you want an in-dash nav system with a screen really bad, just buy one from GM. The Buick Lucerne has an optional nav system w/ screen but has the same Black Tie radio as the Aura standard. For some reason, the 2007 Chevy Equinox (and maybe the Pontiac Torrent too) offer a nav system w/ screen, but since it has a silver finish and not black it wouldn't look quite so integrated.
Turn by turn displays in the radio display actually

Thumbs Up Re: Aura Vs Camry

Saw my first Aura on the road over the weekend. Nice looking car. I think Saturn has a winner in this one, as long as they market it properly.

WHAT? The Camry gets by by excelling at being average. Does it lead the pack in ride comfort? Nope. Just average. Does it handle great? Nope. Just average again. Is the steering excellent? Nope. Average once again. As far as being a car for someone that cares at all about actually driving a car, they're average at best on a good day. I think Car & Driver said it best with something like: "Toyotas are so benign, that they slip right through your hands without leaving an impression."

What they do well is fit & finish and giving you an impression that they're good.

But now the AURA has a better warranty...5 years or 100,000 miles.

I'd still take a Saturn over any import....I've always thought Mazda and Saturn had much better styling and "good looks" than the others.

How is Imported from Kentucky any different than Imported from Kansas? Are Kansas folks more American than those from Kentucky?
Both are USA laborers, earing a good wage in the USA and spending their wages in the USA.

Right on! I'd take an AURA anyday over the cam-poo, How old is the model anyway? Like 20 years old, right?

Yeah, I know, but that doesn't mean they'll do it. It'll probably continue to be available on larger, more expensive vehicles for a while yet.
If there is demand for the HUD it might become available, but for a while I definitely wouldn't count on it.
