I searched for a nice SW for a long time before my SL fell into my lap to do just what you did.

Stellar job, and best of luck on the sprinter upfitter business!
I did that gig for a local place for a few years, its a lot of fun!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Very cool. I slept in the back of my SW2 a couple of nights while on a road trip. It was "doable" but would have been even better with the entire surface flat.

A related question..

I have always been under the impression that the wiring in our cars was barely adequate to run the OEM gear. Did you have to beef up any wiring and/or fuses to run an external amplifier for the sub/woofer?

If you want to run extra audio gear you need to run wiring for it directly from the battery. If you don't run new wires, you'll be sorry. And if you want a really big subwoofer / amp combo then you need to upgrade the wiring between the alternator / battery or even get an alternator that puts out more amperage. Read up and plan your build carefully.

I hadn't gotten to any type of planning stage. I was just checking to see if my impression was right that our stock wiring wasn't made for, or up to, the task of handling audio upgrades.

Anyone have the measurements or a blueprint for this build? I'd like to use it for my lifted wagon, possibly for a tool/parts car for when my friend rallies.
