Default Intake from ebay for Saturn SL2 02

I have 43,000 Saturn sl2. Somebody told me that I ca get MPG and better response time if I get intake. I looked around in ebay and they are selling it for $30-$50 including shipping. Should I get it? Or should I not because it's not reliable? Also, how much Horsepower do you get?

If you can recommended me intake, I'll appreciate it.

PS-How long does it take to install intake for saturn SL2?

Thank you for you time

Is this the same person that said to get a new fuel filter??

Go to Saturn S Series Mods and "search" for CAI.

Here's the best thing to do:

1. Leave your car in the condition it's in, if it's running correctly. If it's not, fix ONLY what needs to be fixed.
2. Don't put anything on your car or change anything unless you see it dont on these forums (and even then I'd be skeptical)
3. Never pick a wrench or attempt to use it.
4. Whoever is feeding you this bs of new fuel filters and CAI's, tell them to get a life. (or send them here and we'll take care of them.)
5. (and most important) SATURN AREN'T MADE FOR HP!!!!! If you want to race (Sorry LowSaturn et al.. I hadda say this) Get a freaking muscle car!
Don't get me wrong, we love our Satuns here and welcome everyone new, but when info comes from a third party source with no apparent credibility... that's hard to swallow.

I guess theoretically they 'should' improve your mileage. I put the Thermal cat back system on my SL2 and have a WAI. If I can keep from putting my foot into it your mileage may increase slightly BUT the bad side is that the sound of the Thermal exhaust is edictive and you might find yourself needlessly blipping your throttle more often.

Not sure if a CAI or WAI is such a great idea in the winter when there is a lot of salt and crud flying around. I don't drive my SL2 in the winter btw. On our daily drivers I installed K&N filters into the stock air box I would say any increase in gas mileage is slight though on the SL1 throttle response did improve.
