Default Can anyone help with reverse lights?

The reverse lights on my car haven't ever worked since the car has been mine, and just wondering how to go about fixing them. I've checked the bulbs and the fuse and it all looked good. I have a '95 DOHC manual Sc2. Please help...

it's your reverse gear sensor. located on top of the tranny (behind the battery and WAY down below it). looks small, almost like a s.park plug or o2 sensor. costs about $10 if i remember right...

Yep, do a search for "backup switch". I bought mine from saturnparts.net. You can also try fredbeansparts.com.

Or he could just check my user gallery (by clicking the little camera next to my avatar) for a picture of its location on a actual transaxle...

Quick test, when you find it. Disconnect it, and jumper a wire between the terminals on the connector. Turn the key to RUN. Bet a nickel the reverse lights go on, which means the switch is the culprit.

mine's really weird. my reverse lights don't work, but when I pull the switch out and push the "button" in by hand, they light up, but not when the switch is in the trans.
