Default Poor radio Reception?

Ok, so when I got my car, 07 Aura XR-6, it had poor radio reception. I took it back in, they did some software stuff, and the reception is better. However, the reception is still worse than any other car I owned. It gets fuzzy in many spots that every other car works fine in, and some of those spots are in the open too, not just near hills. Does anyone have these issues?

i think it is somewhat common on early auras for am and fm. xm seems to not have any probleam as it uses diffferent antenna.

Yeah, my 07 XR kinda sucks for FM, I never use it though since I have XM.

The dealer replaced the whole head unit on my 07 XE. That fixed it. Also, better sound and more bass !

Mine's back at the dealer for the second time getting a couple parts, and I some concerns i had. Since it's out of the factory warranty, i am trying to get everything within the lemon law warranty I got with it. They flashed the radio once I think and it made it better, but it still sucks in some spots.

And I don't feel the need for XM, even though it's ready. Too expensive in my book. That's money I could spend on my blazer.

Mine is just fine, even when driving far outside core city areas. I notice that XM will cut out if a tall building blocks the satellite. Keep in mind that only On-Star and XM operate through the "shark-fin" on the roof. The AM-FM antenna is built into the rear window above the defroster. Best luck.
