Default Removing knuckle, need socket sizes

hi, I'm heading to the upull tomorrow and need to know what size sockets I need to pull a pass knuckel. I think its 18mm for the strut bolts.. but that's all I remember. I cant remember what the tie rod and lower ball joint size is... Any help greatly appreciated!

The large majority of bolt and nut hex sizes for suspension parts under our L's are indeed 18mm. I can't recall the hex size for the tie rod ends nor the ball joints although I've worked on both in the past. Nevertheless, if it were me I would bring along 19mm tools and larger if I had them. Better safe than sorry...(IIRC, there may be something that's 16mm as well.)

It would be ideal if you were using a 1/2" drive ratchet and sockets on all suspension parts where this is possible, but especially at the ball joint. The ball joint has a through bolt and nut on the other end so you'll need two tools to loosen them until they're separated.

Donít forget the big nut on the axle. 1 1/4 or so, I honestly donít remember the size.

FWIW, I believe that the nut holding the drive axle in place at the hub is 30mm. Yea, I know it's a late reply.
