Default 2006 Ion2 Fuel Line Rust-Thru

A Public Service Announcement

A relative’s Ion just started dumping gasoline on the new asphalt driveway.
The cost for a local shoppe to fix it is $575

Two years ago, I warned them that the fuel line, in the exposed area between the tank and engine, was rusty and it was going to start leaking. I said that we could paint it with PR 15 to prevent that from happening.

Michigan’s Winter Chloride Compounds:
Shoppe Owner:
Competition Clutch 10Lb. Flywheel. 14 stalls to date (and loving it).
Oil use is 1 ounce per 100 miles with ~230,000 miles on the engine
