Default Rust repair

My 92 SL1 has got the rear door sills eaten completely out. front sills and center post are fine. Is there any repair panel available , and where would I find them. I have looked , but cant find them.

I also have some small rust forming, on the leading edge of the roof by the front glass. I think it was cause by a windshield replacement many years ago.
Any suggestions on best way to fix it. How difficult is it to take out the windshield?

Id like to repaint the car, but unless I can fix the rust, forget it.

Thanks

There was thread similar to this one recently.
Probably time to get out the pop rivets and a sheet of galv. sheet metal and some Henry's roof adhesive. I have fixed many cars in the salt belt over the years like that.
Unfortunately, the fixed part held but some other place submitted to the salt gods anyway.
Yours is a 92, so how well you fix it is dependent on your wallet. And what you expect of it.

I found another thread that mentioned some part numbers from Saturn.

http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=107276

I then ran the partnumbers through the saturnparts.net. They showed up.
I will call them to see if they actually are available, as they both showup as for right rear.

IIRC, LowSaturn has mentioned that it may not be worth your while trying to repair a window yourself. You're better off having someone else do it.

This is coming from a guy (LowSaturn) that likes to DIY.

FWIW.

oops. Yeah, I saw "window replacement" in the first thread and it stuck in my head.

Well, he did ask how difficult it was to take out the windshield, didn't he?

Even though these OEM parts places are listing the parts, they are not available. Does anyone know if someone has these patch panels NOS?
