Default Grille..

How do you make one? Should I use mesh or stainless steel? What is zip-tying? I have a 1993 Saturn SL. It has the black plastic along the front bumper, if that makes any difference

Thanks

I have been wondering the same thing...

I have a 93 SC2 with the all plastic "grill". I think this would be a nice looking mod for my car in both looks and usefullness as maybe with the wire mesh additional air will flow in.

i think that src racing has the mesh grille inserts for all years and models. it is like $25.00 or something like that.

srcpeformance does have the inserts for pretty cheap or you can go to the Home Depot and find some kind of mesh there for REAL cheap and fab your own. I wouldn't suggest zip-tying as first off I don't know what you would zip-tie it too unless it's what I think your thinking and that right to the front facial w/ the ties exposed which would look MAAAAADDDD ghetto. if you wanted it on the outside you'd be better off using the mesh and 1/4" self tapping screws and hooking it up like that. I've seen several race cars do this particularly the Viper's and it doesn't look that bad (especially compared to zip ties). No extra air is going to be move in as a result the mesh Has 1 benefit and thats keeping stuff off your Radiator and that's it. Other than that it's nothing more than a styling FAD!
