Hi, All!
I'm about to repair some of the disintegrating wiring covers under the hood. I was about to order some nylon split wire looms, but ran across Self-wrapping Split Braided Sleeving. https://www.techflex.com/general-purpose/flexo-f6 Material is PET, melting point is around 476°F. Has anybody tried this stuff? You think it'll work as good/better than the traditional plasticky split loom stuff at protecting wiring? The one in worst shape is the camshaft position sensor harness, which dangles down to the intake manifold. Keep getting the dreaded P0365 code and wondering if the exposed wire around that hot zone might be contributing to that. Oil is clean, next step is to replace the sensors, but wanted to take care of the wiring issue first. Then took a look around under the hood and found a few more looms that were falling apart, so decided to just fix them all. As always, thank you so much for any help/advice.
