Default Rims

Really need to know what's the biggest size rim that could fit on a 2003 Saturn Vue ? And if possible what tire size will best fit with rim sizes of 20" ? Really would appreciate the information soon looking to get the Vue ready before spring.

IMHO, you shouldn't use anything larger than an 18" wheel for the Vue.

Larger than that is solely for looks, and will be a detriment to the handling and driveability of the car. (Also, your gas mileage is going to suck balls if you stick 20's on it.)

Theoretically, you could use a 20x8.5. You'll need to double-check fitment with the tires on it though, as it may rub in the fender. 20x8 should fit for sure.

235/65/16 tire is 28" OD
235/45/20=28.3"
using a rim with similar offset and WIDTH and it will fit fine
do the math.
a 21" rim and 40 series tire will work
a 22" rim with 35 series tire will work
these number are APPROXIMATE
do the math

I tried 20" mustang rims on mine, and it looked off, plus with the small tires, they were actually too small for the Vue. I have 18s now. FWIW Chrysler 300 rims of certain years fit perfectly in terms of bolt pattern and hub diameter. Its hard to find rims that don't need hub centric rims.

PO of my Redline put on 20 in rims - they must be 8 inch, 0 tires are 245/35/20

Brand of the rim is Motiv I think.

Looked them up - actually 20 x 10 rims.

Also, doing the math on those 20s, the OD is somewhat smaller than the OE tire for RL.

My '04 V6 has had 255/45/20's on it since 2005 and I now have over 217k miles on it.... I average 23mpg with city/hwy mix and it doesn't ever rub unless I just about making a full lock uturn and go over a speed bump. Pretty sure thats a large as I'd go but I think it worked great in my case.

I put 19” wheels from a mustang on mine. They are the same height, look great and are (get this) hub centric!

Looks good. Did you use spacers or adaptors?

I'm planning to upgrade the rims of my Vue also. I like the style of Helo, motegi, american force wheels and Focal, though I'm not sure yet on the size and if they have the correct wheel specs for my car.

No spacers or adapters. Hub size is the same also.
