keyless entry

Is keyless entry a standard feature? The wife found settings in the information center, and being used, we were wondering if the fob might have been lost. We found a website listing it as standard equipment. Thoughts?

According to the 2008 dealer brochure, keyless entry is standard across all models.



I can't imagine that changed in 2009 models.

You can get replacement fobs at places like THIS and you will need to get it programmed (dealer or locksmith might be best option for this) so that it works with your vehicle.

all 2009 vues came with 2 key fobs. they are needed for such things as tire rotations and any changing of and any tire valve stems.

Thank you guys so much!! We just bought the car Tuesday, and one of the few turn-offs was the lack of keyless entry. Who knew!? I had just priced aftermarket installation at $150. You guys just saved me $120!!!

Funny thing is, I had stopped by a GM dealership earlier today and asked them the same question. The dude in the service dept. told me it would cost me alot. Cause the build sheet they printed off didnt show keyless, and he said the computer would have to be changed out. Plus the keyless parts.

many also had remote start on the key fob. depends on what package yours was.

True, if your vehicle is equipt with the "convenience package" option (includes rain sensing windshield wipers, heated windshield washer nozzles, remote starter, and universal home remote) then you will need this remote.

Were the heated nozzles and rain sensing wipers only available in the package?

not including the hybrid all 09 vues ,except it was optional on the base xe, had conveniece package standard. the package was all or nothing. it included heated seats, heated washer nozzles, remote start and garage door opener. i think they dropped the rain sensing wipers for 09 but i could be wrong. someone correct me if im wrong.

We dont have heated seats(no button to turn them on), garage door opener(just sunglass holder), rain sensing wipers, or heated nozzles(no wires going to nozzles). We looked up EVERY RPO code, and nothing was mentioned. Oh well, the keyless entry sure will be nice! Now to wait for it to come in.

Got me... The moment we saw the post saying it came standard, we ordered ours off the website John posted. Ill bet I would have had to pay twice as much at the stealership. That is, if I were able to convince the guy that it came standard.

Its all good. Our fob should be in this next week. Then we gotta order our replacement lumbar knob and bezel. After that, the last thing on the list is darker tint and we gotta get our driver rear lock solenoid looked at. It isnt unlocking like its supposed to. It seems to lock just fine though.

I would like to know if you find somewhere to order the lumbar knob bezel from, I need one of those also. I have not been able to find one for my 08 XR.

I need to get a lumbar knob and bezel too. seems that's a very common problem with these models of Vue

that would be cool. I've been meaning to stop in there to check on a knob and bezel for forever. It always slips my mind

I guess you'd call it cashmere. the seating in ours is that tan phony leather stuff
