Default Looking for Pointers on New Audio Systems

I'm just getting my Astra next week, and I'm wondering how I'm going to go about putting in a cost effective sound system. The Astra 2008 XE doesn't have great speakers and no aux input and these are things I'm looking to replace. I have been reading past threads and I understand that this isn't an easy process. So if someone can give me cost effective ways to update it would be most appreciated.

I have no equipment so I'm willing to look at anything

I am in the process of replacing the head unit, it should be done either tomorrow evening or this Saturday. So far including a JVC single DIN bluetooth HD radio, new single DIN dash adapter, antenna adapter (from Euro to US), and a couple of Connects2 adapters to maintain most steering wheel controls, I've spent just under $280, including shipping.

Who knows I may have even bought too many adapters, so the cost may go down, but I'll let you know once it's done.

I pretty much used this link for my shopping list:

http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho....php?t=123544#

In the first post, about halfway down you'll see the items he bought, I just basically bought the same items, along with the radio. I bought the Metra installation dash kit from Amazon, along with the antenna adapter. I got in touch with InCarExpress.com and told them what car I had, and the radio I was installing, and that I was from the US, they sent me a quote and a link to pay by PayPal. So far it's taken just under 2 weeks to get the parts in from England.

Hope this helps!
