Find an air compressor and shoot a buncha air into the drain holes. They're in the corners of the moonroof track.

There are no easy fixes for a Saturn owner ... we like it tough.

See post # 9 of following thread for sunroof drain information:

http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=147772

You could also be getting water from the fresh air intake system. Open the cabin air filter cavity and make sure its not full of water.

I recall a service bulletin to check for water intrusion around door speakers.

You may have to blast the car with garden hose while monitoring for leaks.

I went throught the same thing a while back after moving the front crossbar on the roof rack. I thought I had screwed up. After spending a lot of money at the body shop to have the roof rack system reinstalled and re sealed they found out it was just the sunroof drain so they blew it out for me. Bad news, the next time it rained I had the same wet floor again, this time was even worse. There is no clip or adhesive on the drain tubes which attach to the drain ports on the corners of the sunroof trough (trawf). When the idiot at the body shop blew out the clog he blew the drain line off of the drain port. I had to remove the visors and pull down the headliner to find and fix that problem. So, be careful if you blow out the drain tubes. Good Luck!

That answer is exactly right. My wifes Vue has been in twice for the clogged drain. The mechanic said that if you try to blow out the tubes they will dislodge and you have a bigger problem. We paid the $700 to have it fixed and now cover the car at night to keep debris out of the channels.

Test your drains with water and after you are sure they are not leaking, pour a dose of bleach in all 4 drain tubes. Then flush them with water.

Question Re: sun roof drain cloged

If debris has gotten into the hose via the top, wouldn't the air compressor force the debris further into the hose if it's clogged at the top?

If I use an air compressor on the hose from the bottom, wouldn't that force the debris out at the top?

Has anybody used the air compressor to force air through the hose from the bottom (to force the debris back out whence it came)?

Default Sunroof drain hose and headliner removal for VUE

Here is a video I found on fixing a leaking sunroof drain in the VUEs (02-07).

https://youtu.be/mD_dUgZbCyA

My sunroof was leaking on the passenger's side.

The removal and fix are straightforward. You will need a 9/32 nut driver or small socket set (1/4") to remove the cover for the pillar.

I used hose clamps instead of zipties and super glue.

My drain was also plugged. With the reassembled rubber connector, I was able to clear the drain. Kinda like playing the trumpet...

I HATE sunroofs. When I took delivery of my 04 from the dealership they detailed the interior and washed it. Someone must have done the wash with a pressure washer and hit the sunroof area so hard it blew the front drain hoses off their connectors. Took a good week in the garage steam cleaning every day and blowing fans under the carpet

Has anyone tried the weed eater cord down (or up) the tube trick? Should help dislodge any foreign material that may be in the drain tube.
