You have fixed something that is not broke.

To get rid of the 341 do the following:

New NGK plugs, BKR5ESA-11. No BOSH or any other platinum plug. AC copper is OK and that is it.

New wires, mid price direct fit wires, nothing exotic.

Clean the ignition coil towers and the coil mountings. Check the How-To Library
Replace the ECTS if the installed one is not brass tipped. If you do not know, just replace it and also check the connector for any corrosion.

I put autolite plugs in. ects replaced already. Wires replaced with ones from autozone. cleaned coil packs and Control Module. the ects wire is already new from who ever owned it before me. The code comes about every 6 months it seems like. THe car only once has acted like it was gonna stall when i stopped and hasn't done it again. ALso has the famous 97 anti theft LOL. prime fuel pump 2 times and then it seems to start right up. Should i think about new coils and new Control Module. Or just replace plugs that i first replaced when the code 0341 1st started. Auto zone cleared code this time and lets see how long it takes to come back.

If the connector has been replaced then the splices should be soldered, no crimp connectors. Then, does your temperature gage get these readings?

If you have a DVM check the resistance between the coil towers, should be 8K. look along the side of a coil and see which end the ground trace rins to. remove the bolt and scotch brite under the head of the bolt and the ground pad on the coil. It is possible that the connector to the ICM is a bit flaky. Might want to unplug it and check for corrosion. The ICM can go bad but its an expensive part.

I ended up replacing my control module when 341 wouldn't go away. I got one from a Pick-N-Pull for $20. The code hasn't come back since.

If that does not fix it the trip to the local pick and pull as suggested by westwind999 is the next step. You really don't want to buy a new one.

I am gonna try the pick n pull. We have a great one here in blackstone mass. Scored a very nice cd player out of a 98 sl2 that had the full install kit and only paid 25$ for it. They didn't see it in the car cause it was loaded with all the smashed parts lol

Not a bad idea. Just get the entire ignition pack, coils and all. Look at the core of the coils and pick one where they still have plastic on them. Take a DVM and measure the tower to tower resistance, 8k is about normal.

I have a 96 SL with the P0341 code but no SES light. Does that make sense? Also, (not sure if this matters) but it took about 500 miles and 10 drive cycles for the sensors to reset (it was 4 INC and 3 READY) not sure if that matters. I had previously cleared the code hoping it wouldn't come back and I could get an emissions test and a license plate. But it took so long now I am going to have to pay a late fee. Finally however the sensors reset and I got a pending code first then a regular code but the scan tool says 1 code p0341 mil light status off. WTF?
I have replaced plugs and wires about 10,000 miles ago and just recently replaced the ects (no luck with the ects).
By the way could one of you guys explain why platinum plugs are bad and how did you first find out that they caused problems. Is it in a factory service manual or service bulletin or something that haynes manuals don't delve into just curious.

been beaten to death many times, like the coolant brand wars and the oil/filter wars...

but it's due to it interfering with the waste spark system of G.M. vehicles. Funny thing -- I was watching an Eric the Car Guy video on U-tube earlier (one of his latest ones on engine preformance issues) and he also mentions using the proper spec spark plug for your vehicle.
