Transmission Rebuilders
Thinking ahead, I'm looking for a transmission re-builder in the Charlotte NC area who knows how to re-build these Honda transmissions that go with the the Honda V6. I know there are various upgrades that can be done to make this transmission much better than the original but don't know where to find a builder.Thanks

Confession - I live in Tennessee so I don't have direct experience with this shop.
I asked the folks at WIT ("Whatever It Takes") Transmission Parts (great folks - I normally deal with their facility in Knoxville but they have a shop in Charlotte) and they recommended talking to Worley's on North Graham Street. Phone is (704) 377-4188. If I needed a complete rebuild, I would also look at a reman from a company like Jasper. Jasper will send you a list of their installers - there should be a bunch in the Charlotte area. |

Any rebuild is going to run $2,000 and up. Is the car worth spending that much money on when good running examples sell for less than that?
