Engine swap

Quick question, can a single cam engine be replaced with a twin cam engine without changing the PCM, I just spun a bearing in the bottom end in a single cam sc1, and know where there is a good twin cam motor... or do I have to switch heads over?

If you never go above about 75% throttle it'll be fine, otherwise the SOHC PCM's idea of full throttle fueling will go lean on the DOHC and burn up valves.
Depending on year swapping the PCM is a 'bolt-in' affair and unless prices have changed they're pretty cheap (under $70).

ok thanks, I can see if I can also find a pcm for the twin cam motor as well too
